Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it have and how you could use the details you will find inside it.
An access log is a thorough list of all the files which were accessed by the visitors of a given website. Any file that was requested for some reason shall be listed, so if you have a single page with three embedded images, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log will contain a total of six entries - one for each of the 6 files which were accessed when the visitor opened the webpage. A log normally provides the file name and path, the date, in addition to the visitor’s OS, web browser and IP address. Sometimes you may also find the referrer Internet sites that sent the visitors to your website. The data which an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It may be processed by special software on a desktop machine and used to prepare reports on the performance of a site, aside from the web statistics your web hosting server may have generated.
Access Log Manager in Cloud Web Hosting
When you obtain a cloud web hosting from our company, you'll be able to choose if access logs should be created and for which domains or subdomains inside your account this should be done. You can activate this feature from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, incorporated with all shared accounts. Each domain name you host or subdomain you create shall be listed there and you'll see an On/Off option next to every one of them, so you can conveniently activate or disable the generation of access logs separately for every site that you have. You could save a log to your computer by clicking on the Download link that you shall see in the exact same section of the CP. The link shall be available even if you stop the log generation, so you shall still have access to the data gathered by our system.
