Dot NET Domains
When the Dot NET generic top-level domain extension was first started in 1985, along with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was planned to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Since there were no specific regulations about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, .NET domains were purchased and used for diverse purposes and by lots of people. This extension is a perfect alternative to .COM, particularly if the desired domain with the latter TLD is not free for registration.
Acquiring a dot NET domain with our firm is easy and takes merely a couple of minutes, in view of the fact that we partner with an ICANN-approved registrar company. You can acquire such a domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our company and we will renew it once the transfer process is completed. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, given that they are not locked and that you have an EPP transfer key – security measures set up by the dot NET Registry to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily modify the WHOIS contact info of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you wouldn't like this information to be visible at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to see your actual contact information.
The .NET domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can select whether you want to concentrate on a certain country or zone using a domain name in the regional language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
